Swiss Alps

uninhabited space, some wild animals maybe, or a close friend, what is there more beautiful than being in the mountains! the hostile nature is my friend and foe, home for my soul, the one place where I feel comfortable the most.

On the uneven trail leading up to a remote little hut providing shelter for the night, I hike, one step after the other, it is enough. On another day my hands and feet on the rock, I am climbing, indispensably living the present moment, flowing in body movements but as well in my mind - the next grip, the next step, always in balance.

at times I remember to take pictures, black and white, on film so I do not see right away what I have shot, I do not want to be distracted by the process. I trust my exposures - grey is about neutral - not much can go wrong. Then I tuck away my camera again and I am back in 'the flow'.
